Arthur + Lucca was founded in Chicago in 2013 with a simple but ambitious belief: that every person deserves clothing that fits the way it was meant to — and that the process of getting there should feel effortless, personal, and worth every moment.
More than a decade later, that belief drives everything we do.
We are Chicago's premier tailor shop, specializing in wedding gown alterations, bespoke custom clothing, and precision alterations for men and women. Our studio is located in the West Loop at 845 W. Washington Blvd, Floor 3 — a calm, intentional space designed to feel like the quality of work we deliver.

Arthur + Lucca was founded by Nicholas Monterotti, who launched the business — originally as Peter Field — with a Kickstarter campaign in 2013 and a conviction that tailoring in Chicago could be done better. What started as a one-person operation has grown into a full-service atelier with a team of master fitters, expert tailors, and custom clothing stylists who share that same conviction.
We've done a little bit of everything over the years — design services for clothing brands, manufacturing projects, and even a second location in Manhattan. Through every evolution, the core of what we do has remained the same: helping people find their perfect fit.

Transparent pricing. Every alteration price is published on our website. No surprises, no estimates that balloon at pickup. You know what you're paying before we begin.
Everything in-house. Our fitters and tailors work in the same studio where you have your fitting. You can see the sewing room from the fitting room. There is no handoff to a third party — the people who assess your garment are the people who alter it.
Master fitters, not order-takers. Our team doesn't just pin and mark. We look at the whole garment, anticipate problems before they happen, and guide you toward the outcome that will actually serve you best. We bring expertise to every appointment, not just labor.
A true custom clothing program. Beyond alterations, we offer fully bespoke custom clothing for men and women — suits, tuxedos, shirts, blazers, outerwear, sweaters, and womenswear — with over 4,500 fabric options and 1,300+ design details. Alterations to achieve your initial fit are always included.
Bridal expertise that Chicago trusts. Wedding gown alterations are among the most technically demanding work in tailoring. We have completed thousands of bridal fittings and are the preferred alterations destination for brides referred by some of the city's most respected bridal boutiques. We have never not gotten a bride down the aisle.
